Suse is a well-established Linux distribution that has traditionally been marketed towards business and enterprise users. Besides the enterprise versions, Suse 10.1 is intended for home users and enthusiasts. Enterprise editions follow an 18-24 month release strategy and come as part of a paid-for package which includes support. The standard open-source edition of Linux is free to download, but does not include any support beyond that provided by the documentation and community. Suse is intended to be a user-friendly distribution requiring little technical expertise.
